This muted blue California wedding inspiration shoot was a passion project I got to work on last spring with some of southern Californias most talented vendors ! It was inspired by the ocean but in a subtle way, using colors, textures, and elements such as pearls and delicate seashells in a way that subtly alluded to the ocean without being in your face ocean themed 🙂 One of the elements I was most excited about was the floral table runner created by InStyle Blooms. Christine of CMG Events designed the table so that the floral runner was the star of the show, she let the raw wood table from MTB Event Rentals be the backdrop for the soft and romantic floral installation. She chose different shades of blue glassware from Party Pleasers and linen blue napkins from La Tavola to bring in the colors of the ocean. Clear Chiavari chairs from MTB Event Rentals where used so that your attention is drawn straight to the florals and not blocked by anything. Another exciting element was the Claire Pettibone gown ! I love it when a bride is bold enough to choose a color for her gown and this muted blue lace gown is just so romantic. Melina of Beauty by Melina created a glowing dewy makeup look and a romantic side swept hair style that included oversized pearl pins from Chloe and Isabelle. The Trumpet and Horn ring added some glamour and vintage charm, shoes buy Bella Belle Shoes and a Houndstooth suit from Asos wrapped up the fashion looks to again put a twist on the traditional wedding attire in a subtle high fashion way. Owl Post Calligraphy created a jaw dropping invitation suite that included gold foiling and hand calligraphy on seashell place cards. Cakes by Colin created a beautiful textural three teared cake. This shoot was also featured on Magnolia Rouge wedding blog. Models from Aston Models, Venue: Pasadena Museum of History, Fenyes Mansion.
