5 Wedding Venues was not enough to show you all of our favorites so we are back with part II of our favorite Seattle area wedding venues ! From Whidbey Island to Leavenworth to Bellingham. We often find ourselves traveling an hour or two away from the city for micro destination weddings. So here are five more of our favorite wedding venues you need to check out !
Beautiful Seattle area Wedding Venues Part II
Mountain Springs Lodge
Plain, WA
We have had the honor of capturing many weddings at Mountain Springs Lodge outside of Leavenworth, WA. If you are looking for weekend getaway experience for your guest (and if you have a lot of guests !) this is the venue for you. Beautiful in the summer and the winter this is such a nice getaway for you and your guests. You can rent out the entire property (and its huge) and all of its cabins (luxury cabins that sleep up to 6 or more people each). They have a pool on site, many different options for your ceremony location (and an indoor option in case of rain). They have horses on the property too 🙂
Crystal Mountain Resort
Crystal Mountain, WA
This was the first year we captured a wedding at Crystal Mountain Resort but we hope its not the last ! If you love the PNW and the mountains this is the perfect venue for you. We would love to come shoot a winter wedding here ! Guests get to ride a gondola to the top of the mountain where you can have your ceremony overlooking Mt. Rainier. You can have your reception up top at the restaurant or down below at the lodge (they are in construction on building a new one as well and Im sure it will be beautiful).
Lairmont Manor - Bellingham, WA
Bellingham, WA
Lairmont Manor is another venue that was new to us this year. We knew we would love it before we even got there. And we were right. This historic mansion sits on a beautifully landscaped garden in Bellingham, WA. Every little detail of the architecture is something to stop and stare at. With some cool bridal and groom suites and many options for your ceremony (indoor and outdoor) this is a venue you want to go and check out ! If you love a garden vibe with historical architecture this might be the right venue for you.
Thornewood Castle Wedding Venue
Lakewood, WA
Thornewood Castle is like a real life fairytale. If you grew up wanting a princess wedding or a secret garden wedding this is the place ! Its a literal castle, giant chess board, lion statues and all. The doors alone are ornate enough that I was drawn to photograph them (see below). They have a large old rose garden so getting married here in July or August is ideal ! You can have your reception indoors or in the garden ! (We vote for al fresco )
The Wayfarer - Whidbey Island
Whidbey Island, WA - Wedding Venue
The Wayfarer is such a magical venue ! It feels like you traveled much farther than an hour outside of the city. We love that all aspects of the wedding day happen outside, and it feels like a family property. They have a long tree covered family style dining table for the reception, a dance floor under string lights and a s’mores fire pit ! The property is large and has a lot of great places to take photos. Golden Hour is just incredible here ! And your guests can stay at some adorable island hotels and explore the quant town of Langely before and after the celebration. The team that runs the venue is also top notch and will ensure that you have an incredible day ! Here are some weddings we have photographed at the Wayfarer. Evonne & Javier Katherine & Frederick
